Day of Dance - February 27, 2010

Let’s face it, living in the northern hemisphere can be dull around mid to late February. The skies are almost always overcast, gray, and the weather’s so cold that you’re stuck inside. This time of year there is just not enough to do. Well, apparently the American Heart Association agreed with a need for something to do.

Nation wide, February 27th, 2010 is the “Day of Dance for Health”.

It’s really important to get up and get active, even if it is just for this day. There are events all around the US where dance performances and workshops are happening to encourage people to get aware of the health of their heart, and it’s never to early to be considering the health of your heart. Like it of not, that muscle is working from day 1 to doomsday, so it needs to be taken care of and dancing is a great way to do it, and it’s fun.

If you don’t want to dance, but would enjoy watching the show, or want to get involved, check the website for a location near you.

Don’t hesitate or be nervous, get involved. All ages, all physical types, all health levels, and types of dancers can enjoy themselves! Your heart lives for moving and doing things that make it beat faster so live it up!
